1ter CIO Spirit: Nachhaltigkeit & IT – Teil des Problems? Teil der Lösung!

Talking about #sustainability is more than just a job for me, it’s my passion! Yesterday evening, I had the honor to present my thoughts about the chances and risks of #digitalization to over 20 CIOs, CTOs and ESG as well as CSR experts at the CIO spirit event organized by Thorsten Schmiady and Dominik Meier from modernX | IT-Kosten senken, Effizienz steigern. During a great Whiskey tasting provided by the organic distillery Farthofer and sponsored by our dear colleague Daniel Büchle from AfB Group, I addressed the following topics:
-      Digitalization and IT as key enabler for sustainability
-      The importance of transparency and comprehensive data analysis
-      Activities that @Siemens is already undertaking in this context
-      Tips on how each individual can contribute to a more sustainable future

Change starts with ourselves and it’s time to act now! The time for restraint is over because there is no Planet B! Together we can create a big difference, so let’s exchange on this important topic.

And by the way I am really impressed and can only recommend the organic distillery! Not only do they use regenerative agriculture, but all ingredients come directly from their own farm. All based on the motto: from the field to the bottle. More information can be found on their website:
